Why can't we call an education loan at an interest rate as low as 4% as a loan scholarship? When our economy is growing at a rate of 8% and an inflation of 11.5% certainly 4% is negligibly small. More over getting a tax benefit during your employment for the interest you are going to repay.
Lets look at the educational loan scheme from Kerala Backward classes development corporation(KSBCDC), which covers 90% of your education expenditure subject to a maximum of 50000 per year.
The applicants annual parental income should be less than 55000 INR and currently the loan is available for professional education

One plus point for the minorities is they need to pay only 3% as interest.

Its sweet to have some scholarships in your vallet
Its always a dream for most of the students who are pursuing their education to get some scholarship. In our culture where the entire education expenses are funded by the parents, its great to get a scholarship. The education expenses in our country is less when we compared to other countries. still for a middle class family its difficult to fund the whole money. In our God's own country their are trusts which is giving financial aids for professional education. I would say even if you are taking an educational loan it would be worth. because after your education if you are landing up in a job their the education loan will help you to avoid taxes. In a country where the man power is the greatest resource you won't need to worry about financing your education
In next posts I will cover some of the scholarships available in kerala for higher education.
